You Cannot Use It All the Time.

Bleach is extremely strong. Bleach is a great way to clean body fluids such as vomit, blood or poop. You can also use it to disinfect surfaces that you frequently touch. This includes things like light switches, doorknobs, or countertops. Always use water to cut the paper.

Do not mix with ammonia.

/12

This gas is toxic and called chloramine. It can cause tissue damage in the eyes, throats, noses, and lungs. This can also lead to breathing problems.

Do not overload your laundry.

/12

Do not pour it directly onto your items. Do not exceed the recommended amount. This could cause them to be damaged. You can use bleach to remove stains, but not on all surfaces. This is not suitable for leather, spandex, or wool. Check the label to see how you should wash your clothing.

Do not clean your phone with bleach.

Bleach can damage the screen’s fingerprint-resistant coating. You can use alcohol or disinfectant wipes. To be sure, check with the manufacturer of your phone. Do not use any liquids to clean the phone’s openings.

Protect yourself

If it is very strong, bleach can cause skin irritation. The fumes can irritate your eyes and lungs. Wearing gloves, goggles, and a mask can help. Wear long pants and sleeves, and cover your feet. Please do not wear your favorite clothes because bleach can cause them to stain.

Do not mix with acids.

/12

When you combine bleach with acids such as vinegar or drain cleaner, chlorine gas is formed. Too much is dangerous. You may cough or wheeze. You may experience burning in your eyes, nose, and throat.

Could you not use it on metal?

/12

Bleach is corrosive. Metal surfaces can be eroded or eaten away by bleach. Use it only on metals like copper, stainless, and aluminum. Do not use bleach on fabrics to remove rust. The stain will become permanent.

Do not Close Windows and Doors.

/12

If you suffer from allergies or any other health conditions that make it difficult to breathe, you should use bleach with extra caution. This includes asthma and chronic obstructive lung disease (COPD). Open windows and doors to let fresh air into your home. Use a fan to help push the fumes.

Do not use an old bottle.

/12

Bleach mixed with water can be used for 24 hours. Pure bleach will last 3-5 months. Keep the bottle out of direct sunlight and heat. After one year, throw it away. On the label, look for a series of numbers and letters. You might see MR20106. This means that it was created in 2020, on the 106th of the year. Do not worry about the letters.

Do not pour it down the drain.

You could damage your pipes if you mix it with other chemicals. Instead, try baking soda. Pour a handful of baking soda down the drain, followed by a rush of hot water. Pour 1 cup of vinegar into the drain. After 30 minutes of letting it sit, run hot water.

First, clean with soap and water

Bleach cannot cut through dirt and dust. This is partly because a thick film of dirt protects germs. Clean with soap and water. Cover the surface in your bleach mixture, making sure it is visibly wet. Let it dry naturally.

Could you not use it on food?

Bleach mixed with water is fine to use on surfaces such as countertops or eating utensils. You can use it to clean your fruit and vegetables, but not for washing. You can scrub them with running water.

Cleaning Tips

You can keep your house in top condition by making a few simple adjustments.

Create a cleaning supply zone. Store all of your cleaning products in a single storage area or closet to make it easy to locate what you need.

Use a cart, basket, bucket, or tote to transport your supplies. A pocket-equipped apron is the perfect place to store your most used items, like an all-purpose cleaner and a roll of paper towels.

Dust with your hands instead of a cloth. Wear soft cotton socks or gloves to see what you are dusting.

A grid system can help you avoid missing any spots when you are wiping a flat surface such as a table, window, or countertop. Start by wiping up and down. Next, wipe from left to right. You can also use a grid for your home. Divide the rooms into sections and clean them in grid patterns.
